Recordings of Bible Classes – The ability to audit anonymously

In January 2009, Jeff Himmel and I recorded three Bible classes at Spring Warrior. The subject studied was 1 Thessalonians. For our purposes, the subject recorded was irrelevant. We simply wanted to share with people outside the church the ability to hear how we conduct our classes and study God’s word. We felt that this would give the listeners the ability to hear what we are about without the pressures associated with attending “cold.”

The classes used a workbooks authored by Robert Harkrider.

5th Sunday Sing Night – Prayer (theme)

Spring Warrior hosts a sing night on each 5th Sunday of a month. On January 31, 2010, the sing night had a theme – prayer.

Dan Chaney organized a list of songs to sing, Scriptures to read, and occasions for prayer during the service, and then arranged for different men to lead different songs, Scripture readings, and prayers.Prayer (SpringWarrior)

Dan also prepared a Powerpoint agenda so the men would know when it was their turn to participate, and also allow the congregation to know which song to sing, verse to read, or when a prayer would be lead. The Powerpoint slides are attached.

Types of Prayer

Dan Chaney preached two lessons today on types of prayer. He preached the morning lesson on prayers of worship and confession (audio Powerpoint), and preached this evening’s lesson on prayers of petition and intercession (audio Powerpoint).

Worship – consists of Thanksgiving, Praise and Adoration
