A Living Sacrifice (an audio sermon)

A sermon from Dan Chaney beginning in Romans 12:1-2 about presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice to God. This is the pm sermon that followed the am sermon on Lessons we can Learn from Old Testament Sacrifices. I recommend that you listen to the am sermon first, before listening to this sermon.

In this lesson, Dan asks some challenging questions such as:

  1. Considering how expensive animal sacrifices were for Jews in Old Testament times, how much by somparison are we actually giving from our means, time, effort, and daily attitude and walk?
  2. Are we a living “sacrifice”?
  3. Is living for God costing us anything today?
  4. Is it making demands of our time?
  5. Has it changed our priorities at all?
  6. Does it make make time to study God’s word on our own and with our children?
  7. Are we sacrificing valuable business time, making us less productive in our busiine lives so we can be more productive for God?
  8. Do we sacrifice time to visit with others?
  9. Have given up anything?
  10. Have we made any changes?
  11. Have we sacrificed anything at all?
  12. Do we give only out of surplus?
  13. Do we only offer the lame?
